I absolutely hated it the first time I saw it. I'm in my living room to set up the scene and watch a video with my son at the end of the day. I hear a crack (in hindsight it was my husband who started the thing), then my son and I are suddenly hit by cold, wet blobs of paper while my husband is laughing maniacally. Not cool. THEN he decided to practice on my stove. Not cool at all. After all of this, I can confidently attest that Sheet Storm works, although I wish I had experienced it outdoors and not IN MY HOUSE. After further experimentation, we can also agree with the guide that a double layer is the way to go. A single layer does not give the desired adhesion. Despite my initial experience, I can appreciate it. I would rather have kids do this than water balloons as there are no small pieces of rubber to ingest or leach out into the environment. The drops of toilet paper are washed away.
