Review on πŸ” Marina Power Filtration System by Jody Tibbetts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Potential hazard: With some kits, the plastic part covered by the sponge comes off and can harm the fish. Otherwise a great set.

***POTENTIAL HAZARD / QUALITY CONTROL ISSUE: On some kits, the plastic part (covered with sponge) does not fit snugly onto the motor. It may come loose during use, leaving a hole open in the motor and sucking in fish, seriously injuring or killing them. Small or delicate fish will definitely suffer. I have about 3 of these power filters and have ordered 3 more in the last two months. They are really good when the plastic part (covered with a sponge) lies snugly against the motor. With a tight fit, it works perfectly. The first 3 out of 6 sets were perfect. The first three sets were S10 and two S15. Now the 4th set was S15 and the plastic part was not close to the engine. During use the part came off and the plastic part and foam floated. There was an open hole at the bottom of the engine. My goldfish are big so they weren't hurt. My 5th set (S15) was fine, but my 6th set also had a loose plastic connection. If the plastic part is a good fit, then this surge protector is excellent. I love it.
