Topwit kettle - good value for money

Pros: β€” Large, volume 2+ litres. The largest glass kettle I could find. Large mouth opening. Easily fits large tea/spice brew balls (no 4 inch balls). - Easy to keep clean. It's just a smooth interior with no areas that are difficult to access for cleaning. Inexpensive. Cons: - The on/off button is easy to turn on, so the kettle can falsely heat up without liquid. - The kettle will overboil if left unattended and filled to 2 liters or more. - Automatic shutdown (looks like the literature has this feature) doesn't work. The kettle will continue to heat up even after the water has reached boiling point and boiled away. - No water temperature display. - Short power cord. The cable is 21 inches long. It doesn't go far. Other kettles I've tried have cords from 36 inches to 1 meter, which is much more convenient. The water doesn't heat up as quickly as other kettles I This only matters because the kettle doesn't automatically turn off when the temperature reaches boiling point, so the kettle can boil over and potentially cause a fire Lack of protection against overheating and the risk of over-boiling. If you're willing to keep an eye on the kettle or fill it up to a maximum of 1.5 liters, you're probably that cautious. I usually put my kettles back on their stand, meaning plugged in after cleaning, even if they're empty. I was able to press the switch a couple of times and noticed the kettle heating up because I heard the kettle ping (luckily I turned the kettle off and let it cool down gradually so nothing got damaged - I think) This is a potential in my opinion but a dangerous situation. For the price, I can use this Topwit kettle as a backup kettle or when I need to heat multiple batches of water at once. If I were just rating it as a kettle for everyday continuous use, I'd spend more money and get a safer one.

Cons
