Appearance is pleasant and looks good in the light. You have to move it to turn on the light and boil the water. It takes a while to move to get light, which is frustrating and difficult, and every time you want to boil water you have to move it. I will be using it for a few more days, if it takes longer for the light to move I may have to return it. Update: Customer service was very good, they solved the problem and sent me a replacement. So far this works fine.

Like! I received mine yesterday and was so excited! It was so easy to fill because of the nice big top! I did 2 boil cycles as directed to remove any contaminants, although I rinsed it right out of the box. I even turned off the light to see the beautiful blue glow and it was very cute! I've owned about 5 kettles over the past 20 years, including this one from TopWit. This is my first glass teapot. I like the physical design of the teapot. It has a wide opening with a fully open lid big enough to slip your hand in for cleaning, and overall the build feels surprisingly solid. Minutes boil 1.2 - 1.5 liters. I use it to add hot water when bathing children. We have an old apartment and the hot tap water runs out pretty quickly so I don't know how it tastes. When using it for the first time, when heating the water, deposits / traces have already appeared on the bottom.
