I bought this just in case and it has saved my ass when traveling. The speeds are very good for a hard drive, it is very portable and elegant. But if you get 2TB+, then the form factor becomes huge, almost brick-like (stick to 1TB for travel). I have the metal version (silver part is metal, black part is plastic). Still free of scuffs and scratches. For the price it couldn't be better. However, if you have cash to spare, you might want to look at the SSD version. They are faster and about half the size and weight. But you can't go wrong either way.
