Great item for mounting heavier items to the boom base.
I have several jib cranes and bases and each one comes with one of these pole mounts; However, I also found it great for holding my teleprompter, so I picked up an extra one to permanently mount to the bottom of my teleprompter. That works great. This makes it easier to turn on and off any (heavier) items that might require a strong mount. It goes beyond a simple quick release on a tripod.
- Made from a single piece of aluminum, the stand mount won't break like other molded plastic adapters.
