My 6 year old daughter loves to play in the snow and we needed something she could play with for more than a few minutes without freezing her hands. These mittens make it possible! I like that the zipper opens completely on the side. This makes them easy to wear over a winter coat. I also like the extra elastic Velcro on the side of the glove. It holds the mittens in place and completely prevents them from slipping. The non-slip grip on the palm of the mitten allows for gripping of large objects. They are true to size and my daughter loves the long cord they use to hold the mittens together. When she goes to school, she hangs it on the back of her school bag. We have yet to test her through the New York winter, but she has used her in 20 degree weather with no complaints. the shortcoming we have encountered so far. Will update if they don't last a full season.
