Review on Viega 50143 2 Inch PureFlow Manabloc by Kevin Parker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to install Fits faucets

Product arrived with all parts as advertised. I installed a Manabloc with the ability to feed water through the top tubes only. I had to order the power connectors for the power input from above as advertised by Manabloc. I also had to order a bottom water plug as my example didn't need that water inlet. My installation was a little tight as my PEX pipes had to go into the attic and also had to be at least 18 inches from the water heater as the instructions say. and cold pipes to the attic. Then I started making plumbing in Manabloc. I then made some crimp connections to connect the PEX umbilicals in the attic at Manabloc. I opened up the cold and hot water lines at Manabloc to check for leaks. At this point I checked all the connections made only in Manabloc before proceeding with further work. I heard the water fill the manabloc and confirmed there were no leaks. Finally, while still in the garage where Manabloc was installed, I connected each of the PEX lines in the attic to Manbloc and then finally spent a full day in the attic making 13 PEXs. Connections to each of the copper lines leading to each of the plumbing fixtures. My plan was to cut the existing copper wires before going into the wall from the attic to the rebar, and solder the crimp connections so I could crimp the PEX onto each of the rebar copper wires. Upon completion, I opened up each of the Manabloc water lines individually and checked the solder/crimp connections for "water leaks". The complete installation took 3 days from start to finish. I recommend this product. Very happy with the end results.
