Fairly smooth in rough plumbing

I have a project where I am renovating a downstairs bathroom and laundry room. After ripping out all the drywall, I found that the main plumbing connections were in one of the walls. "What a great idea to install one of those newfangled water pressure equalization systems!" I thought! So I researched and settled on Viega 50143 and ALL the additional PEX pipes, tools, fittings etc. It was a learning experience for me as I had never worked with this material before. Here's what I found: Viega was

Pros
  • Proven quality and no corrosion
Cons
  • Quick instructions

I need more ports!

I bought this for a basement renovation we are doing in our 1956 home. I replaced all the copper with Pex and used this header to power the Pex. Part of the renovation was the installation of a bathtub in the basement and a matching laundry room. Here I miscalculated with ports. I could use the dishwasher connection. Simply that way. My laundry room separates hot and cold between the washing machine connection and the wash tub. Small problem but if you have blackouts for everything else. Yes…

Pros
  • Home run distribution manifold
Cons
  • I won't tell

Easy to install Fits faucets

Product arrived with all parts as advertised. I installed a Manabloc with the ability to feed water through the top tubes only. I had to order the power connectors for the power input from above as advertised by Manabloc. I also had to order a bottom water plug as my example didn't need that water inlet. My installation was a little tight as my PEX pipes had to go into the attic and also had to be at least 18 inches from the water heater as the instructions say. and cold pipes to the attic…

Pros
  • Excellent chlorine resistance
Cons
  • Defects present
