I need more ports!

I bought this for a basement renovation we are doing in our 1956 home. I replaced all the copper with Pex and used this header to power the Pex. Part of the renovation was the installation of a bathtub in the basement and a matching laundry room. Here I miscalculated with ports. I could use the dishwasher connection. Simply that way. My laundry room separates hot and cold between the washing machine connection and the wash tub. Small problem but if you have blackouts for everything else. Yes, and I forgot about the RO system. It is also shared with the laundry. One caveat: After I connected the parts of the house I lived in and turned on the valve on the top right, the valve burst and water poured through the basement. I pushed the valve back but the rubber o-ring swelled and the jet got even stronger. The back of the valves are just small snap-on connectors. Once the pressure was released I was able to squeeze the snap fittings, fix the valve o-ring and close my eyes to pressurize the system. Since then I do not have problems anymore. Also make sure the Pex enters the manifold as straight as possible. Any upward, downward, forward, or back pressure will cause dripping and over tightening can damage the manifold. None of my connections are stronger than strong and solid.

Pros
  • Home run distribution manifold
Cons
  • I won't tell
