Review on Glorious Modular Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Full Size (104 Key) - RGB LED Backlit by Louis Nakashima

Versatile and comfortable keyboard, room for improvement

I really like this keyboard, it quickly overtook my DAS and Deck Legend as a board for everyday use. It has some great features and some are just shy. Pros: Extensive customization options for RGB features. This board can reproduce almost every light pattern under the sun, from light spreading from every key you press to a swirling pattern that repeats endlessly. You can even create your own animations using software downloaded from the site. - Ability to use a large number of switches. With the exception of a few switches like Low Profile, Topres, and Camber Springs, the world is your oyster when it comes to this keyboard. Removing the switch and inserting a new one is very easy, no soldering required. Of course, the included switches are great too. Gateron makes good products and I particularly like their Brown version versus the Cherry version - the minimalist body design. The body of the keyboard itself is a fairly solid black aluminum rectangle with an eye-catching mirror finish along the top edge. Not gray but not flashy Cons: - Noisy stabilizers. Each stabilized key on this board is a little louder than the regular key, especially the spacebar, due to the different brand of stabilizers. I highly recommend buying and installing a set of original Cherry plate stabilizers, this gives the keyboard a much more stable sound and feel. The Keycap font may not be for everyone. A lot of the letters on the keys are stylized, which might be fine for some people, but I'm marking it here because it distracts me a bit. Overall, I highly recommend this keyboard. Its few flaws are easily remedied with the help of new stabilizers and keycaps, and it has many advantages. If you're an indecisive person like me who doesn't want to solder in new style switches, this is the keyboard for you. If you are a person who needs a great light show while typing, this keyboard is for you. If you're a seasoned veteran of mechanical keyboards with dozens of boards ranging from Unicomps to Duckies to Realforces, this keyboard might still be for you due to its versatility.
