Almost all solar chargers and small generators have a 12V socket, this socket is rarely covered. There is a serious risk of electric shock and the possibility of dust and dirt entering the outlet. This tight-fitting rubber stopper solves this problem. I used scissors to cut off the retaining ring which was easy and left no trace of the retaining ring. With any solar charger, you will likely cut off the locking ring. I love it and would highly recommend it for protecting my 12v outlet from the elements and little prying fingers.
