The clutch feels very strong at first but tends to loosen when tension is present unless the seam overlap is large. When a repaired or reassembled item becomes hot, as is the case with an item hidden in a car in the sun on a hot day, the two layers of tape will expand at different rates, causing the transparent areas to buckle. Top coat while the black base coat mostly stays where it was applied. Overall it's still very useful for things that are always at room temperature, but it's not as useful for outdoor use or things that can get hot in use as I'd like. It adheres very well to smooth surfaces but may not have enough grip on rougher items like plain varnished plywood. Everything was top notch for assembling coroplast sin pieces with a pattern cutout; for fixing the wiring harness in a minivan, not so good.
