The ceiling corresponds to the color indicated and is ideal for a child's room. It has soft pink, white and cream tones and is perfect. The shabby design is cute, but most of all, this blanket is soft! The zipper is of good quality and opens and closes with no problems. There are ribbons in each corner for attaching the insert. It's on the thinner side; feels like a pillowcase so an insert is essential to keep it looking fluffy and warm. The double size is good as it covers an 11 inch mattress (not a box spring) and has a large edge so a larger mattress can fit on top. no problem. The only problem I have with this is that the drawing isn't symmetrical and it's driving me crazy. Luckily it belongs to my daughter and not me so I don't have to keep looking at it.
