I didn't want to buy cheap LED lights because of the terrible CRI no matter what they say but this one surprised me. We used very expensive LED panels, but we needed something more compact and portable. I bought 3 YN-300 III and was impressed with the color. The specs show a CRI of ≥90% and it actually looks pretty good at 5700K with a few magenta dots when measured with Photoshop's Color Checker Passport. The remote control is a handy feature, but after just 2 weeks and less than 1 hour of use, one of the lights stopped responding to the remote. A spare battery Maximal Power NP-F950/F970 was also purchased, but the total run time was not determined. These batteries are heavy so I might look for smaller batteries. Overall the construction is solid enough, but the foot sliding into the cold shoe seems to be the weakest point, so I'm looking at lighter, smaller batteries. Equip all three lights for shooting through a small translucent umbrella. The light does not flicker even if the power is below 10%. I need some more for the foosball lights, but first I need to fix the broken one.
