Straps over 46". When attached to a buckle, they can fit waists up to 45 inches with the tip of the belt protruding beyond the buckle. (You must stick out to open the strap.) Pull the buckle at the tip of the strap to make the strap pull harder to loosen. I prefer the look where you just pull the tip away from the body and the buckle pops open, but this one works too. There is nothing that separates this set from women except marketing. The buckle looks old when you open the package, so don't worry about scratching it. Not 100% Polyester as described by Revain, actually 75% Polypropylene, 25% Polyester. Polypropylene absorbs moisture/dries faster than polyester, but also degrades more easily in the sun or fades more easily. Polyester is generally stronger and more abrasion resistant. Hopefully this mix achieves the best of both worlds. When the packaging is opened, the straps have a distinct synthetic odor that dissipates when aired Spot cleaning only, not washable. Made in China.
