Review on Renewed Logitech K800 Wireless πŸ’‘ Illuminated Keyboard: Brighter, Better, and More Convenient by John Lim ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied with the purchase one hundred percent, I recommend the product for everyone.

Logitech traditionally makes keyboards with two (even speaking with three, separately for Germany) layouts (layout) of keys. At the same time, only one of them, namely, the so-called US, which is distributed for the North American market, has a full-size left shift and no duplication of the "\|" button. It is easy to order such a sample on Amazon, taking into account the delivery to Hong Kong and the services of a customs broker (already paid for upon purchase), 3826.67 came out (at the same time, the price fell by another $ 8 during the delivery), which, with an average price of 4200, looks quite acceptable. Unfortunately, 2022 letters will have to be forgotten. In my case, this was not relevant, because. for more than three years I have been using a netbook from the states, on which, at first, there was no time to stick 2022 letters, and then I got used to it :)

Pros
  • - super keys - Sufficiently sensitive stroke (both in terms of response and pressing: the keys require more effort than the old BTC 9313U) - Appearance, design, assembly at height - Unify receiver, normally made friends with the Logitech M510 mouse (under Linux connected using Solaar). Now one receiver can be considered as a spare - Standard mini-usb charging - Advantages of my sample: US layout, as a result - a normal full-fledged left shift - Relatively convenient and easy to get to the batteries - Batteries: two elements of the AA form factor: it will be quite easy to replace in a year and a half (or maybe longer if treated with full charge-discharge cycles). Or immediately replace it with more capacious ones (although it is not clear what kind of charge control scheme there is). - Backlight, although I don’t look at every letter to press, I don’t have a completely blind typing, peripheral vision binds my fingers to the keys, so in the dark (when the home machine is sleeping, for example) I start smearing the keys
Cons
  • - for the sake of the US layout, I had to sacrifice 2022 characters and order on Amazon - Although the stand and the main part of the keyboard are made of matte plastic, the gloss could be completely removed
