24 VDC made it a good choice for heavy equipment.

In some construction vehicles we have driver's cabin lights that fail after years of use. I bought them because they are LED and can run from 12V to 24V DC so I can install them as a replacement for the cabin lights regardless of the car's voltage. The one I've installed so far is bright, the switch is big enough to be easy to find but not overly carry. He's clean and tidy. Very happy.
