Review on Design Pie Waterproof Comfortable Individually Snorkeling by Matt Mosley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They work but cost €$$

They're good for swimming in shallow water (like the pool or beach) and block out noise fairly well (-23dB) while still allowing you to hear what's going on around you - suitable for industrial environments, but for loud building, banging or shooting you should use at least -33dB IMO. I've also used them to sleep, but if you roll over and sleep on your side, they stick out too far and can go further into your ear. They're good on the plane because they're visible and people know you've got them. This design also allows you to place them only partially, allowing you to block out noise but still hear. I prefer these earbuds when working with saws. or noisy gear, as the longer shaft makes it easy to take it off when needed, and you can thread a lanyard through your cap (or mask strap if snorkeling) to keep it closed if you need to take it off temporarily, or if one of them falls off . BUT, price. Aside from the plastic wrap, they're virtually identical to what you can find in $20/$100 sets - with either braided cord or solid plastic cord. If you need this type, you can get 100 times more sets for twice the price.
