I bought these to store my large 5 5/8 inch wide Avery Elle stamp storage pouches so I'm sure they will fit into a 6 inch even with the thicker plastic -trash cans fit. Unfortunately the inside measurement is almost exactly between 5 5/8 and the outside width is 5 7/8. The pockets do technically fit in but are very tight and in the long run can hurt the pockets as there is no space I am returning mine and looking for something more suitable. Unless I need it for a very specific purpose, this is a great option and great price. Approximately 30% cheaper than similar Interdesign containers.
