LOVE the fit of these shorts! I am 5' 4" - approx. 125 lbs. age - 57. I am very self conscious of my body and dress conservatively. I am headed to Mexico and want something to wear over swim suit to cover my 'saggy bottom'. I typically wear an 8 pant. But did not want anything too snug.The size 10 was too big. So in a last ditch effort to get the right size - to arrive prior to leaving on vacation - I ordered both an 8 and a 6. The 6 worked AWESOME! Snug enough I don't think they will fall off in water - yet stretchy in the hips. The waste isn't high - nor is it too low. rests comfortably at the top of my hips. They do not have the inner 'panty' liner - which is fine for me - as I will be wearing it over a full piece swim suit. I can't say how they will work in water yet - but if I can remember to - I will come back and let you know! OH. Since I will be wearing this over a swim suit - I really like the 5" - I don't feel like they are TOO short - (the 'butterflies' are covered!) - but absolutely not too long! These could easily be worn as a regular pair of shorts - for a younger girl- with a toned bottom and thighs.
