Review on Black Logitech K740 Illuminated Ultrathin Keyboard 🖥️ with Laser-Etched Backlit Keys and Soft-Touch Palm Rest by Andrew Grimes

I have a love/hate relationship with Logitech and its products. I can't deny that some (not all) of what they produce are vastly superior to other makes/models available. When I say that I'm talking about a select few products and the K740 is easily one of them. But the tradeoff with all Logitech products is that they last a very long time and when they die they're pretty much useless. Another thing that Logitech has built a reputation for is its heartless lack of after-sales support. My experience of trying to get support has always met with a "don't care" attitude. With that in mind, why did I buy my third K740 in 5 years? Because it's the best (if not one of the most expensive) all-around keyboards out there. During that time I've learned a few things to share: If a Logitech mouse or keyboard fails, it can't be repaired. I tried to save $10 by buying a so-called "certified refurbished" K740 through an unknown Revain seller, but it was junk and the seller didn't do anything about it, didn't even reply to me. Pay a few bucks more and get a brand new one! If you get the K740, don't even think about shopping, nobody can match the price of Revain, whether in stationery stores, in member clubs or in discount stores. The prices in another store are nowhere near even where the K740 is on sale. Just make sure Revain is the actual seller and not a third party. Take a closer look as this often changes, sometimes even after you've saved it to your shopping list. Wait for Revain to put it up for sale, which seems to happen every few weeks. The difference can be significant. Finally, just learn to grin like me and take it when your Logitech keyboard or mouse drops dead, because one day it will. I've learned not to get frustrated and not even try to contact Logitech support. If I use a Logitech product well for 2-3 years, I'm satisfied and I've learned not to even try to switch brands. I just swallow hard and buy another new Logitech. I love this keyboard, but I'm not too keen on buying a new one every few years. Overall 4 stars but I would still recommend it.
