I received a Shark ION Robot 720 in exchange for an honest review. We have used the Roomba for many years and find it to be just right for the job. However, I took the opportunity to see what's new in the robotic vacuum space. Shark ION is an order of magnitude better than Roomba. First off, the dust bin is almost twice the size of Roomba's, so it doesn't need to be emptied as often. I LOVE that the Shark ION has a built in alarm that will alert you when the bin needs to be emptied. Another fantastic feature is that the Shark ION is programmable. I have set up cleaning on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am. It works great and when it's done it goes back to its charging dock. Roomba is also supposed to go back to its charger but it NEVER worked. The Shark ION has a remote control that allows you to program the vacuum cleaner, is easy to use and comes with batteries. Shark ION also comes with barrier strips. : Small rubber bumpers to prevent crossing the Shark ION. We use barrier strips to block off areas where Roomba has always stuck, e.g. B. under a kitchen cabinet. The Shark ION robot is incredibly quiet. Roomba is so loud it only works during the day, but Shark ION can be programmed to work at night if you want and it won't be heard around the house. The Shark ION comes with an extra set of side brushes that snap into place. in place. It also comes with an optional HEPA filter and cleaning brush. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats so we have a lot of pet hair and the Shark ION does a great job cleaning floors with no effort other than emptying the bin when it gets full. .I would highly recommend the Shark ION ROBOT 720. It really sets the bar for performance and value in robot vacuums.
