Review on Monoprice Blackbird 4K HDMI Pigtail Splitter -Black, 4K @ 30Hz, HDCP Compliant, Gold Plated Connectors, 10.2Gbps Bandwidth by Shane Yay

Nowhere in the description does it say anything about splitting the audio signal as well as the video, I got the impression it was just splitting the video so I was pleasantly surprised when I did connected everything together and I had video and audio in both places. This is my setup: I have a Spectrum Cable Satellite, a Denon AV Receiver, a Sony Bravia LED TV in my bedroom. Against the next wall is my garage where I have a Samsung LED TV. I didn't want to rent another cable TV box in the garage and I would never see or hear two different sources in the garage/bedroom so this was the perfect solution. I have the same setup in my garage, identical Denon AV Receiver. Monoprice's Blackbird 4K HDMI splitter connects to my satellite box, then I have 2 HDMI cables from there, one to a Denon receiver in my bedroom and one to a Denon receiver in the garage, then HDMI from each receiver to every TV. The ONLY side effect is that when both receivers are on, the audio volume drops by about half, which isn't a big deal since I just crank the volume up. The rest works great! Recommended !
