Perfect for my 2008 Suburban LTZ! - The tray is made of durable and hard plastic that can bear the weight without sagging or warping. - I was pleased that there is not one, but three removable rubber inserts for the organizer compartments! It definitely creates some much-needed space for your small items like sunglasses or loose change, or even a safe place to mount your electronic device while charging (there is a pass-through hole for running charging cables). *My model year doesn't have a USB port in the console, but I know later model years do, so a bonus for you '09-later! - There is still a lot of space in the "cargo". (that's what my kids call it!) under the tray when it's sitting, so I didn't lose any space, but a much-needed way to easily store small items that would otherwise get lost in the deep chute of the OEM center console.
