Review on Mothers NuLens Headlight Renewal ๐Ÿš˜ Kit, 8 fl. oz. - 07251 by Keith Bradley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Critical feedback from someone who has used this and other kits.

Includes: (1) Nozzle drill for bottom nozzle. (2) 800 grit abrasive pad (2) 1500 grit abrasive discs (1) 3000 grit "buffing pad" (1) Powerball buffing pad. (1) 8 ounce bottle of polish. Pros: With this kit, all the hard work has to be done with a power drill. No hand sanding or hand polishing. Drill, polishing pad and power ball are well made. Cons: Sandpaper attachments appear to be "disposable only". Trying to keep them moist and clean is a mission in itself. I understand why people have so many bad reviews about this set. You're letting the sandpaper clog and it's starting to leave yellow streaks all over the headlight lens. With other sets this was not a problem. I basically needed a second pair of hands to keep the lens wet while I sanded with the drill attachment. It was more difficult to grind the edges of the headlights with a power tool. Another problem is that there is no sealant for the headlights in the kit. Instead, it comes with a card recommending Nu-Lens headlight film. Without sealant, the headlights will remain yellow for a year. Other kits come with sealant. All in all a decent kit if you take your time, keep everything wet and assume the pads are for single use only. I have used other "better" kits that are not disposable. The kit also included sealant for the headlights. The only downside is that everything is sanded by hand. Polishing is done with a drill.
