This is the second headlight I own. The first one worked fine until I lost it. The one I bought is no longer available, this one was identical to another seller/brand. The first day I bought it, my kid accidentally ripped off the USB cover. I'm not even quite sure how she did it, all I know is that I handed it to her safe and sound, she didn't understand it happened, it might have fallen out, it might have escaped, the world will never know . On the second or third try to use it, the buttons on the left stop working. These are "red" lights (night vision) and small white lights. The buttons on the right still work well, but it all dies very quickly. I used the old one for a full week and then they started fading and I knew I needed to charge them up. It just shuts off completely when it starts sinking. There's nothing quite like standing in the middle of a pasture surrounded by animals who aren't particularly happy when you interrupt their sleep and then blah blah blah blah, no light. look elsewhere
