Firstly they weren't expensive but then like many competitors so I think they were priced on par with other LED strip kits. I want to start as the glue is very strong so you need to be sure where you want to stick them. The lights aren't that bright but I bought them to accent my child's bunk beds so they are lit most of the time at night. so everything is fine. Green is really good, as is blue, but red is terrible. I know it could have been better as I saw dark red at the beginning of my setup but now that I'm done the red looks orange-yellow. I checked all my connections and they are tight so I don't know why the red color is to blame now. If you don't have a lot of connectors in your run, it's probably better controlled and you can easily check if you have a hard connection anywhere. I had so many twists and turns and used quite a few right angles and T-joints. But please make sure I check every connection before fully securing it. I suggest that when using connectors you do not remove the adhesive behind the ends to be joined. Contrary to the instructions. With the adhesive backing still attached, it's much easier to slide the end under the connector's terminals. If you remove the protective film it will be difficult to get the end under the connectors as the unbacked strip is thinner and so sticky that it cannot easily slide under the connectors. So leave the backing, slip it under the clamps and then use scissors to cut the backing off for the rest of the strip after the connectors are attached and in place. I didn't realize this until halfway through the project and wish I had known about it beforehand - it would have saved me a lot of frustration. A slight buzzing sound can be heard when the light is switched on. Not sure how comfortable it will be with my kids sleeping next to it, but the buzzing is audible. This probably won't be a problem if I use them elsewhere, e.g. B. behind a screen or television, but not by the bed. near my head I wish you could cut these strips into smaller pieces as I was struggling to find the best spot to cut to get around corners. I wish I had more ways to cut the strip as the dotted cut lines are too thin. So - I would buy them again, I would buy additional connectors as I believe some of them were bad or at least some were more difficult to make a firm and reliable connection. Connectors are cheap, so buy extra ones.
