To fix the problem: 1. Call customer service. They were very helpful and if you call early the wait is less than a minute. they will probably tell you to screw the device firmly INTO THE NEW BASE IN THE PACKAGE to activate the battery in the device.3. Then I was told you can use the previous bracket, wiring etc and it worked! Low battery warnings have ended. no problems in the last 15 hours. I would like to get 10 years of this device. I gave it a 4 out of 5 for battery life because the last 7 lasted.
