The thing works great on one side, not so well on the other. The design of the handle makes it pretty easy to get your whole back on one side, but the other side doesn't work because the handle has an inverted angle. That being said, the only other downside is that I've worn down the wood so the edges aren't as sharp as they were when new. I always intend to go to the shop and file or grind the tips a bit and see if I can get them sharp again.
