They do not replace hiking socks.
These are good everyday socks, but they don't replace a good pair of hiking socks. I bought these to replace my favorite pair of hiking socks with holes. They're very similar in style, with padding in the same places and an ankle loop. But they don't work that well. I had to buy tape to keep bubbles from forming. Overall, the colors are fun and would work well for everyday wear when you're not on the go.
