Review on Streamlined HDMI Ethernet Wall Plate For Simplified Home Theater Setups by Alan Estell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just what I needed: my feedback

I have an ethernet passthrough outlet from the living room to the master bedroom. I wanted to also run an HDMI cable from the PS4 in the bedroom to the tv in the living room for an alternative play area. I was surprised to find that there was an outlet that had ethernet and HDMI ports on it. It only came as one plate per order and no cables. I ordered two plates and bought 5-inch ethernet and HDMI cables to run in between. It works exactly as I need. And this plate is Cat6 so I got an upgrade from the Cat5e that was there before. So glad I didn't have to bore a hole in the wall to do what I wanted.

Pros
  • Easy to install and exactly what we needed.
Cons
  • The streamlined design of the wall plate may make it more susceptible to damage during installation or use
