4 because the materials and finishes are very good. It loses a star because one fits snugly (but not as tight as I'd like) and the other dangles. Because of the construction, there's little you can do for a snugger fit other than using the included elastics that go into the ring I'm using. I'm hoping to find a way to tighten them, maybe with extra or stronger rubber, as they aren't strong enough to attach expensive LED modules to. I'm guessing my mounting location (a 3ft tube of a standard RAM truck hitch) might be a bit out of spec, but the caliper dimensions seem fine, I think mileage will be different for everyone.
