My iMac was running slow because I had to use the Windows virtual environment for some work. After installing more memory, which probably took less than a minute, it now works like a dream. Highly recommended! Make sure you know what kind of memory you can install on your computer. I have a newer iMac and it worked for me, but my husband's iMac is a year or two older and uses a different type.
