Review on πŸ₯› Tribest SB-132 Soyabella: Large Automatic Soy Milk Maker Machine & Tofu Kit by Clint Blackman

Worth the money Good for kettle

I was really wary of the Soybella based on the number of reviews saying how difficult it is to clean. Not at all! I use a bristle brush to clean the top (where the abrasive blade is) and some mild detergent to clean the jug and strainer. Just clean it first and it takes three minutes. Each batch is a little over a quart, so I usually do two batches in a row (just rinsing the pieces in between batches) and that lasts most of the week. However, it changes the rules of the game. Even when I buy expensive soybeans from Amazon, my soy milk has gone from $3 a half gallon to about 60 cents, and I'm saving so many boxes from landfill. It's amazing how a few ounces of beans turn into a liter of milk. One of the challenges was finding the right nut milk bag to strain the milk and squeeze out the okara. In theory, you can just pour the milk straight from the jug, but that's a little gritty to me. So I'm filtering the packet. I tried to be eco-friendly and get an organic cotton bag but the pores were too small and the milk took longer to strain than to boil. I now have a mesh bag that appears to be plastic but works really well. The leftover pulp, okara, is one of the benefits of making your own milk. I like to make tofu scrambled eggs out of it or make a hummus-style sauce out of it. Let's see how long the machine lasts with such a continuous use. It was a small investment, but it's already paying off.
