Weave isn’t as tight as I hoped

I got this hat to protect my face because I have rosacea. I was excited that I could wear a high bun with it having the open top. That’s a really nice feature & like how the fit is adjustable. The weave isn’t as tight as I wanted so some sunlight still comes through the hat. I’m thinking of how I can maybe sew or glue a piece of fabric around the inside of the brim to block out all the sun. I wish that part were different but besides that I like it.
