I was quite skeptical that a couple of magnets would a) stick to the back of my laptop and b) be strong enough to hold the secondary screen when it's fully pulled out. I'm happy to report that my skepticism was misplaced. This is a remarkable product! The magnets stick beautifully and easily hold the screen in all positions, while still making it easy to remove the entire device in a second by pushing instead of pulling. it's onto something, but frankly it seems a bit unnecessary; without them everything stays in place. However, my criticism will be that if he needs support - give it! Something retractable on the edge might help. Another important thing to keep in mind is that this obviously adds more weight to your laptop lid than the hinges are intended to support, so naturally a laptop screen is more "flexible" when attached. Since it's so easy to remove I don't see it as a big deal, but be aware or your laptop could tip over during a meeting if you're not careful!
