Review on Fuel Gas Tank Switch Valve Petcock for Honda CBR600F1 1987-1990 & VLX600 Shadow 1988-2007 by David Epps

I ordered this for a 2000 VLX CD600CD2Y. This nomenclature matches the advertised fit info "VT600 VLX600 Shadow Deluxe 88-07". The item does not fit. I was able to assemble it by sawing off the square metal post that the plastic valve control key is attached to. Also, the square post is raised a few millimeters from the body of the OEM part, so it was necessary to remove the (OEM) portion of the plastic valve cotter to get it to seat properly around the square post. These are minor differences that affect serviceability to some extent, but are not enough to render the part unusable. I consider this a temporary fix as the quality is lower than the OEM part.
