When playing games on RetroPie/Emulationstation with 8bitdo Pro controllers you typically experience minimal response times over a wireless bluetooth connection, but most retro games can still be played. Unfortunately, at least one game has a noticeable lag: Kung-Fu on the NES. It's so bad that I decided to buy these wired controllers. I'm happy to report that this reduced the latency response time significantly! While it's not completely gone, it's much more responsive to quick side-to-side movements, jumps and punches and kicks than 8bitdo's wireless controllers. I definitely recommend these wired controllers, they are worth the price! In summary, I will use 8bitdo Pro Wireless Controller for most retro games. But when I run into other NES games with noticeable lag, I'm happy to switch to these wired USB controllers.
