I bought about five pairs of these shorts for my eight year old son to wear as pajama shorts. I stay away from "own brand" pajama sets because of the expense, and prefer to just stock up on knitted shorts and t-shirts for him to wear to bed. These shorts were very cheap and they are a bit small and the material has never softened despite many washes but my son wears them without complaint and he is VERY picky about his clothes. He's a little overweight so I bought them big and like I said I think they're a little small but he's comfortable in them. I think if I bought him these shorts to not wear at home
