I have Van Heusn, Steve Land and 2 Amazon shirts. Steve Land was 10 dollars more than the others. Van Husen was 23, Revane was 20 dollars. Steve Land was the best because black really was black. Fits great, 100% cotton. SKINNY, but I'm wearing a black tank top. The still thin Revain Essential comes second (NOT solid poplin, it missed) as it's almost black indigo. Can't tell if you're not keeping it with a real black shirt or if you're picking up black pants, this can be a problem during the day. Also, it's 100% cotton, the fit is a little tight around the chest BUT it can get worse with washing. I also bought a second Revain shirt which fits great and the fabric doesn't show through and it was more of a random thread as it looks like candle wax like micro creases compared to the shirt. It's a great shirt too, but it's dyed indigo black instead of true black. However, I am keeping them and sending them back to VanHusen. I've never been a fan of theirs and now I know why some smart others felt the same way. :-) This shirt is crease-resistant, has a normal fit and is marked with L/XL/XXL in addition to the sizes. Poplin Essential doesn't show this, and the mid-tummy is pretty tight for a 37-inch sleeve with an 18-inch neckline. The middle part was dense 46.
