I don't make up snide comments just to be negative and I give credit to products when they deserve it. For me, this radio is new only because of its transparent housing. I live in a rural area and can only pick up a few FM stations and only two AM stations on good quality radio stations. For me, this radio is no match for the sensitivity. I'm sure people in big cities with strong signals will find this radio adequate. For a meager $10, however, I had to try it as the transparent case (or "prison radio" case) is cool. It would be really cool if they included an external speaker as there is plenty of room inside the case for one. The included clear earbuds are certainly different in that they're transparent, but they're uncomfortable and sound cheap, which they are. But again, what can you expect for $10?
