The wrist rest on the mat is uncomfortable, on the keyboard stand

After using the mat for a day, the wrist hurt. In general, I have found that mouse pads with gel wrist pads are more comfortable than memory foam mouse pads. The palm rest of the keyboard looks okay so far. I found the gel palm rests more comfortable on mousepads, so I'm going back to my old Innovera mousepad. The description is misleading. This package included a mouse pad and a wrist rest for the keyboard.
