This device is larger than expected. I couldn't imagine. I found a sculpting image that was definitely too small for a larger space and I haven't seen anything else on my wine list other than too small or this one that's big, but it works well. Since the reviews were mostly good, I ordered it. What I mean is I have a decent area that needs covering, but going in between sizes would cut it. I have no regrets though, although for the price I'd love to see a few extra bells and whistles. (Read on.) I have snakes and it's VERY difficult to keep the space humid enough to make it ideal for them during those colder late fall/early winter months. Oil heat alone isn't enough, and it hasn't gotten cold enough to vaporize much. Ball pythons (a perfectly safe breed of snake, pet friendly) I needed lots of moisture in the air. Last year's model didn't work this year when plugged in, so I bought this one. What I feel is missing for the $80 price tag is a display that shows exactly what the humidity level is at any given time. time and such like some others do. I have to keep it high up in the kite room this time of year and luckily their hydrometer reads better but maybe a hot mist would be even better for them? Not for me. I've been scalded with hot steam before, but maybe that increases the humidity even more 🤔. I'm not sure, but I'd like to see how the room looks as a whole and be able to customize it to my liking. I have seen cheaper devices that have this capability but as Christmas is approaching I decided to make this purchase as I spend so much on gifts and trust the reviews here. I know nothing about ultrasonic mist humidifiers, although I have to say that the name of one of my fellow veners startled and caught my attention to read his or her full review and it startled me a little as far as safety and lack of it Research in cool areas. most "ultrasonic" products like this one. Read this fascinating review above if you'd like. This raised several questions for me. Yes, I originally thought this was a really cool new feature in humidifiers and we are moving with the times and making products safer and more effective and sort of upping the game. but now i'm not sure 🤔. I thank this reviewer for his insight and appreciate it as helpful. I will definitely investigate further and ask my father if he has any insight. My dad has been a senior investigator with the FDA for over 40 years, and while such things are outside of his remit, things like drugs, food ingredients, food safety, etc., he's a bloody genius at just about everything, or so it seems, so I will definitely check it out. Be safer around this device because of the cool fog. They don't actually come into the room very often as most of the time there are only a few family snakes in their cages, but I'm glad the humidity is increasing during this very quickly "cooling" time of year. , for a healthy environment for snakes. I sleep close to the device and I love that it helps my eyes, if only a little, as waking up with dry eyes (bad) and dry mouth (bad too) has been causing issues for me, so any help that I can get, great ! Low humidity levels for those who sleep with their mouths open can cause tooth decay, gum problems and very expensive dental visits and treatments - no lie, so if you suffer from dry mouth this nearby machine will save you potential thousands. Dry eyes? Once the weather gets colder my eyes get MUCH worse. Dry eyes have caused me many problems, not just severe discomfort, and any relief is very positive for me. Also, my lips and face also dry out when the temperature drops, so overall it's great for you. I hope the ultrasound aspect proves safe 💯. That's my only concern. The device is good, just take a hydrometer and place it very, very close to it. Not sure if it can be glued to the actual device or not, but being up close gives you an idea of the humidity level in the room since it doesn't have that cool and useful digital display. They're very affordable here at Revain and go with almost everything. Please also check the measurements before purchasing to ensure it is the right size for you and your family. For most of us, 5 liters may not be easy to understand. It wasn't for me. Height and width make that better. In general, the device is of high quality, copes well with its task.
