Not all deals are bargains, yes this product is cheap but look at the reasons behind. I knew this item was refurbished when I bought it, but what I didn't realize was that the word refurbished was used very loosely and didn't mean it was factory refurbished. I purchased this internet service product through TWC and hooked it up to find that my internet speed was slower than expected so I took it to TWC to find out why and found that it was still registered to the previous owners. account and I have to wait for the previous owner to call to confirm the modem is no longer theirs and then I have to wait at least a week for a service that I have already paid for. I called Amazon to see if I could exchange the item for one that didn't have this pre-existing issue and they said they had no control over whether the previous owner had disabled the service. Buying your own internet modem saves you the hassle of paying more for a new one.
