HP overcharges most ink cartridges

I love my HP all-in-one printer. I use it often, not every day but at least a few times a week. Most of the pages I print are in color. I typically print greeting cards using Hallmark Card Studio software, as well as labels and photos to mail. I also scan a lot. My printer uses HP 64 black ink cartridges. If you are purchasing HP ink cartridges from Revain, please ensure you are buying from Revain and not a third party. I have received too many counterfeit third-party ink cartridges that look genuine but are not recognized as genuine by HP printers. To install this ink cartridge, remove the sticker from the bottom of the cartridge. Slide the existing cartridge into your printer and pull it out. Then insert this ink cartridge and push it in until it clicks into place. When you install an ink cartridge, the HP printer recognizes the ink cartridge as a genuine HP ink cartridge. If your printer does not recognize the ink cartridge, you may have received a counterfeit cartridge. Every time you change an ink cartridge, the printer has to level, resulting in wasting good ink. The black HP cartridge prints in very strong black, which is very legible. You can tell when a cartridge is almost empty by the black letters getting lighter and lighter until they are almost gray. Then you know it's time to replace the cartridge and my printer tells me it's time. According to HP, the cartridge capacity for this cartridge is 200 pages. That's a big exaggeration. If you're printing pages of black text only, this cartridge will print 110 pages before you run out of ink to the point of being unable to read the printout. I have the feeling that HP is constantly increasing the yield of its cartridges. HP ink cartridges are made from 82% recycled plastic. Although they are made from recycled plastic, they cannot be recycled in our bin. Instead, you must take them to a recycling store. Some stores offer cash or incentives when you return used cartridges. Buying cartridges is one of those things you can't refuse if you want to have a printer at home. The convenience is definitely worth the price, I just wish the cartridges lasted much longer.
