I buy a dozen bagels a week. Cut them open. Freeze them in gallon zip locks. We felt they would prevent freezer burn better and last longer. they burst. The struggle to discover them is terrible. I broke two nails. My husband grabbed a pair of pliers to open it. I think the advantage is that they seal well. Unlike the Hefty bags, there is no gusset so they don't hold as much. I have to use 4 packs instead of 3 for my dozen bagels. So it takes up more space. They're also harder to clean as small bits of food get caught on the bottom. (see pic) I really wanted them to work, but now I'm back to reusing hefty bags. They are easier to clean and reuse than these. Now I have to get rid of them and might as well have stayed with Heftys. Damn. Waste $$
