Resolved "Check Fuel Door " Alert

Purchased for a 2010 Ford Escape 4 cylinder. I tested my old block by unplugging the block and checking the vacuum. There was no vacuum when the device was off and no vacuum when the device was connected, so there were no errors in the test. I installed this new part and tested again. With the vacuum line off, I checked the vacuum and it was three times the size of the old part. I could hear the cyclicity of this unit, which the old part didn't. You can check the vacuum by removing the vacuum line and placing your finger on the part inlet. (You can find some videos on testing the purge valve on YouTube). You can probably disconnect the battery or reset the warning code with a code reader. I was driving and the warning light/message went away after driving 15 miles. It has been a few weeks and 3000 miles since I installed this part and the warning light has not come on since.
