This is a replacement for the green nylon backpack that I was happy to give my husband as a gift. I wanted something that looked more professional and could travel well. It had to be durable, strong and safe. I wanted quality leather because I like things that look good and last a long time. Another requirement was a zipper as it is more secure than backpacks with magnets, buckles etc. This backpack was a good choice. In the main compartment I have my laptop, iPad, cords, gloves and a small leather shoulder bag. My cell phone, keys, pen and other utensils are in the outer pockets. It's just the right size - enough space for essentials without being too bulky. I will be flying soon and am looking forward to using it as hand luggage. Unlike some other backpacks I've tested, the back and shoulder straps on this item are also leather. This makes it a bit difficult to put on and take off as leather straps don't slip as easily as nylon straps. However, I am willing to live with it to have something so unique and classy. I'm < 5'5" and the top hole in the strap fits me. I also really like the handle at the top of the bag. The zippers feel decent, although a little slower around corners.
