VET CHOOSE THAT! GREAT FIT AND VERY COMFORTABLE FOR THE CAT

UPDATE: I have used these rescue suits on 4 surgeries. So that's 8 weeks of gestation over two years. There are a few catches, but that's about it. I have recommended these costumes to many friends who have sick pets who are in my Pet Cancer Facebook groups. My cat will go through two years of breast cancer in a few months. Her last surgery was very small (1 inch) and I was actually able to fold her up to make a long t-shirt instead of a jumpsuit. He didn't roll or move on it. She had about 7 days before the surgery before I took that chance. I watched her closely as pulling the threads out would be very bad. Thought I'd mention this to people who may be using it for non-surgical issues or who have a cat that is almost recovered that their vet has cleared to talk about taking a break from full coverage. My cat had her second breast surgery yesterday. I knew two things: her large incision needed protection, and she hated that awful cone on her head. So I bought two soft cones and a rescue suit and kept all three when I left my cat for surgery. What did the doctor do for my cat? Appropriate recovery suit. She told me she loved the costume and said it was perfect for my kitty. ABOUT THE SUIT: It fits comfortably and is of high quality. I would take some time and read the reviews to find the right size. My cat is 12 pounds, taller and a bit rounder. I bought her an X-Small and it fits well. The company recommends downsizing if you are unsure. You're right. Cats have the Houdini gene and can dodge pretty much anything. It takes a cat about a day to get used to it. I hand washed it and tumble dried it in a dryer on medium and it worked fine. If you're going to be using it for more than a few days I'd recommend buying another one so you have a new one ready to go. There is a side effect: VERY QUIET CAT! Now I know why they use vests to calm the animals. It seems to work the same way. My kitten and one of my dogs have been living together for 8 years. My little chihuahua takes special pride in barking and chasing the cat. My cat just lay down and purred. The dog didn't know what to do, so it just wagged its tail. A quiet kitty is here. UPDATE: ONE WEEK, I understand some of you will be using this for a long time (compulsive cat licking and wounds that take time to heal) and many of us are looking for a hassle free alternative to post surgery taping down to the stitches are looking to be removed, which also applies to my cat. I've decided to update in a week so you all know what I've learned and how things are going. First, my cat feels great. The rescue suit doesn't seem to bother her. I am obsessed with her, so her comfort and healing are my top priority. The suit does not affect healing in any way. Her wound is clean and she can clean it from behind, which she thinks is very important. It is also in no way wet or dirty. I like to have several costumes on hand to make sure I can switch between them without a "cone" in this case. This suit deserves 100 stars in my opinion as it makes recovery hassle free for everyone.
